Toler and Addison Earn First-Team All-CIAA Honors

Sophomore Punt Returner Emory Addison

Lawrenceville, VA: November 7, 2008 Saint Pauls College senior defensive back Gregory Toler (Washington, DC) and sophomore punt returner Emory Addison (Miami, FL) were named to the first-team All-CIAA Football Team.

Toler garnered first-team All-Conference honors by leading the conference with 6 pass interceptions. Ranked third in the nation with 19 passes defended, Toler has achieved three consecutive years on the Conference Team.

Addison is ranked number one in the conference in punt return average, with 15.1 yards per return. In his second season, Addison has returned the ball 14 times for a total of 211 yards, including 1 punt return for a touchdown.

 

Stokes and Gee Named To All-CIAA Football Team

Lawrenceville, VA: November 7, 2008 Saint Pauls College sophomore defensive lineman Jarvis Stokes (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) and senior linebacker Clinton Gee (Danville, VA) earned second-team All-CIAA football honors.

Stokes, a two-time Defensive Lineman of the Week, was named to the All-Conference football team for his tenacity on the field. He is ranked fifth in the conference in tackles for a loss of 64 total yards. He continues his consistency on the field as he was a member of the 2007 CIAA All-Rookie Team.

Gee has been named to the All-CIAA Team for a second consecutive year. He is ranked eighth in the conference in tackles, and number one at Saint Pauls, for a total of 71 tackles (41 solo, 26 assisted).

Tiger Athlete Allukeshia Guy Earns All Conference In Cross Country

Lawrenceville, VA: October 30, 2008 Saint Pauls College student-athlete Allukeshia Guy competed in the 2008 CIAA Womens Cross Country Championships held on Thursday, October 23, at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, NC. Ms. Guy placed 10th, earning her All Conference in the CIAA. Saint Pauls College womens cross country team placed th

Ms. Guy is a junior recruit from Union County College located in Cranford, New Jersey. She signed up to play forward on the Saint Pauls womens basketball team. However, Ms. Guy runs track in the off season due to Head Coach SKing-Colemans encouragement to be a well rounded a

The public is invited to watch Ms. Guy play in her first home basketball game against the Lions of Lincoln University on Tuesday, November 11. Game time is scheduled for 5:30 pm.

Tips-Off 2008-09 Campaign

Charlotte, NC... The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association announced its Pre-Season All-CIAA Teams and Predicted Order of Finish at the CIAA Basketball Press Conference and Luncheon, this afternoon.

Todays 2008-09 campaign opened with in-depth predictions and outlooks presented by CIAA men's and women's basketball head coaches.  Participants were also treated to an unveiling of the 2009 tournament logo and a preview of the 2009 edition of www.ciaatournament.org

This year's pre-season teams were highlighted by conference leaders from Virginia State and St. Augustines: All-Conference Star Katania Walker and 07-08 Rookie of the Year, Allison Sikes; On the men's side, 2007-08 All-Conference vets and 07-08 Player of the Year, Anthony Hilliard of Elizabeth City State and Andy Gebru of Fayetteville State led the men's selections.
