Wallace Named CIAA Coach of the Year

 

 

Lawrenceville, VA: April 24 – Lady Tiger’s Coach Steve Wallace was named CIAA Coach of the Year for the team’s 22 and 16 record this season.

 

Wallace, a native of the Nation’s capital, has coached the softball team for the past 5 years. He is an example of what one can accomplish through perseverance and hard work. He guided a nearly all underclassman lineup to the CIAA championship where the team placed third in the division.

 

This season Wallace also helped guide Sherrie Smith, a freshman pitcher from Detroit, to the Conference’s Tournament team, All-Rookie team, and All-CIAA team.
