WOMEN'S SOFTBALL

Lady Tigers Garners Five Accolades
Three First Team All-CIAA; Two All Rookie  

Hampton, VA - The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association’s Softball Coaches Association has selected this year’s Softball All-CIAA and Rookie Teams.  This year’s Softball Championship begins on the second day of the CIAA Spring Sports Festival, which commences on Wednesday, April 18, 2007 in Petersburg, VA at Virginia State University.

Five Lady Tigers are featured on this year’s squad, three All-Conference Performers and two on the All-Rookie Team. First-baseman Danielle Tyler, a 6-2 Senior from Emporia, VA, Right-fielder Rebecca Edmonds, a 5-7 junior from Chesapeake, VA, and Farrah Sells a 5-8, junior Centerfielder, from Rancho Cordova, CA.  

For the All-Rookie Team Third-baseman Uranda Mason from Emporia, VA and Leftfielder Stephanie Gray from Sussex, VA. The Player and Rookie of the Year will be announced at the CIAA Softball Social on Wednesday, April 18.
