Tigers Sent Packing by Bears 

Raleigh, North Carolina - February 3, 2009 - The Saint Paul’s College Tigers traveled to Spaulding Gymnasium, Raleigh, North Carolina to take on the Bears of Shaw University.  After a series of great runs and by both teams the Tigers loss to the Bears, 68-63.   

After an extremely physical first half, the Tigers manage to retreat to locker room on top at halftime, 32-30.   

Bruce Royal led the Tigers in first half scoring with nine-points.  Teammates Ibn Rasoull and Maurice Reevy added seven-points a piece. George Leseur and Anthony Wynn added six and three points to the second half total.  

Entering into the second half, the Tigers demanded control of the game as they go a 16-0 run. With 7:25 remaining, the Bears cut into the lead making the score 52-49.  

The Tigers were lead in scoring by guard Ibn Rasoull with 17 points.  Maruice Reevy added 14 points, George Leseur added 10, and Bruce Royal added 11 points.   

The Tigers of Saint Paul’s College return to action on Thursday, February 5, 2009 when they host the Falcons of Chowan University at Taylor-Whitehead Gymnasium.  Game time is slated for 7:30pm.
