Three Tigers Score Double Figures in Loss to Chowan

 Lawrenceville, Virginia - February 5, 2009- The Saint Paul's College Tigers hosted the Chowan University Hawks on Thursday night at Taylor-Whitehead Gymnasium, Lawrenceville, Virginia.  With three Tigers scoring double figures the Hawks still go on win, 84-76. 

Freshman guard Ibn-Saed Rasoull led the way for the Tigers in scoring with 23-points for the night.  Rasoull shot 9-of-15 from the field and sank four-of-seven free throws.  Along with his high scoring output, Rasoull posted four rebounds, two steals and one assist.  This game marked a career high for the freshman.  

Also scoring double figures for the Tigers’ were sophomore forward Maurice Reevy and senior center Davon West with 19 and 20-points.  Reevy shot 6-of-14 from the field goal range and helped control the boards with eight rebounds. West sank 9-of-12 shot attempts in this his own season high scoring output.  West also posted eight rebounds.  

The Tigers return to action on Saturday, February 7, 2009 when they host the Elizabeth City State University Vikings.  Game time is scheduled for 2:00pm.
