Lawrenceville, Virginia - January 31, 2009 - The Saint Paul's College Tigers hosted the Trojans of Virginia State University, Saturday evening at Taylor-Whitehead Gymnasium, Lawrenceville, VA.  The Tigers lost a hard fought game to Virginia State, 77-67.

The Tigers attempt to amount a second half comeback as they have in games before. With the score being tied 12 times, the lead would exchange hands four times before the ball finally settled in the Trojans court.   

On a positive note for the Tigers, four-of-five Tigers starters scored double figures for the night- two of which posted double-doubles.  Sophomore forward Maurice Reevy posted his third double-double of season as he lead the Tigers in scoring with 19-points and 10 rebounds.  Senior forward Anthony Wynn came to play as he posted 10-points and 12 rebounds.  Following tonight's game Wynn has posted a career high of eleven double-doubles this season.  Guards George Leseur and Bruce Royal both posted 11-points a piece.   

The Tigers return to action on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 when they take on the Shaw Bears in Raleigh. Game time is scheduled for 7:30pm.
