The Saint Paul's Tigers fought hard to the end in competition against West Virginia Wesleyan College on August 28. The Tigers had a shaky start in the first quarter only having possession of the ball for only four minutes and thirty seconds while West Virginia Wesleyan kept possession of the ball for over 10 minutes, scoring 21 points.

In the second quarter, it wasn't until the eight minute mark when quarterback Steffen Miller-Cohen threw a 34-yard pass completion to Jason Davis to score their first touchdown, making the score, West Virginia Wesleyan 21 to Saint Paul's 7.

Also in the second quarter with 28 seconds left in the half, a sophomore defensive back, Brandon Patterson caught an interception and ran for a 53 yard touchdown.

At the beginning of the second half, Miller-Cohen was sacked by West Virginia Wesleyan's linebacker Jesse Robertson. The fumble was recovered and four plays later the Bobcats scored yet another touchdown bringing the score to 28-14, West Virginia Wesleyan.

With the clock at 26 seconds Miller-Cohen redeemed himself by throwing a 23 yard touchdown to Tiger's tight end Osmund Brown.

In the fourth quarter, Miller-Cohen threw a 14 yard touchdown to Quinton McBeth to tie the score 28-28.

However West Virginia Wesleyan's quarterback answered Miller-Cohen's touchdown pass with a touchdown pass to his wide receiver, T.J. Benners breaking the tie and reclaiming the lead with a score of 35-28.

West Virginia Wesleyan had possession of the ball in the final minutes of the game. Tiger's strong safety Dominic Tolson forced a fumble and recovered the ball with an attempt to turn the game around. However, Saint Paul's could not hold on to the ball and West Virginia Wesleyan
forced a fumble to end the game.
