Grisby Set To Coach In East Coast Bowl

Lawrenceville, VA: November 19, 2008 – Saint Paul’s College Assistant Head Coach for Football, Kevin Grisby (Richmond, VA), was selected to be the Defensive Coordinator at the 2008 East Coast Bowl game scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 29.  Kick-off is at 12:10 pm at Historic Cameron Field, Petersburg, VA.

This is Grisby’s second consecutive year coaching in the East Coast Bowl. He will be accompanied by former NFL and CFL players and coaches.

Grisby has served as the Defensive Assistant Head Coach for Saint Paul’s College football for the past 5 seasons. His defense is currently ranked number 1 in pass defense in the CIAA Conference and NCAA Division II. Saint Paul’s defense is ranked number 10 in total defense in Division II and number 3 in the Conference.

“I get great enjoyment in using my knowledge about football to assist in the development of young men in the pursuit of a career in football,” stated Coach Grisby when asked about his experience as a coach. “I stress the importance of an education off the field and devotion on the field. These are the characteristics that will help present the opportunity to play at another level.”

Grisby brings over 10 years of professional playing experience as a defensive back. He has played with the Philadelphia Eagles, World League of American Football and Arena Football.

Saint Paul’s defensive backs Gregory Toler and Jerome Mann have been selected to play in the Bowl, as well.
