FEDERAL FINANCIAL AID REFUND POLICY
This policy, effective with
the Fall 2003 semester, is in accordance with
federal regulations. If any student completely withdraws or otherwise
ceases attending Saint Paul's College after sixty percent (60%) of any one
semester has passed, then no refund of federal financial aid is required.
Federal financial aid will be returned to the Department of Education when a
student completely withdraws or otherwise ceases attending Saint Paul's
College on or before sixty percent (60%) of any one semester has passed.
The percentage to be returned will be the difference between 100 percent
(100%) and the actual percentage amount of time that
has
passed in the semester. For example, if a student completely withdraws
or otherwise ceases attending Saint Paul's College on the day that forty
percent (40%) of the semester has passed, then the amount of the federal
financial aid to be returned will be sixty percent (60%) of the aid that has
already been awarded and placed on the student's account.
If a student ceases attending
before federal financial aid is awarded and placed on the student's account,
then some aid may be awarded and placed on the student account based on the
percentage of the semester that has passed. Each student who ceases
attending that results in a refund of federal
financial aid will be notified in writing. The notification will include
any balance due to Saint Paul's College after the federal financial aid is
refunded and any withdrawal credit has been applied. If any student
received a disbursement of a credit balance on their student account prior
to withdrawing from the College, that student may owe money directly to the
Federal Department of Education and the College will notify students as
such.
SAINT PAUL'S COLLEGE WITHDRAWAL CREDIT POLICY
NOTE: WITHDRAWAL FORM,
AVAILABLE IN THE REGISTRAR'S OFFICE, MUST BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BY THE
REGISTRARS BEFORE WITHDRAWAL IS OFFICIAL
Students must withdraw or
otherwise cease attending Saint Paul's
College on or before sixty percent (60%) of any one semester has passed in
order to receive any withdrawal credit. The exact date for each
semester will be designated on the College calendar for each academic year.
The percentage of tuition, the general fee or room and board (rent for
Single Parent Program students) to be credited is based on the actual
percentage of time that has passed in each semester when students cease
attending the College. For example, if a student completely withdraws
or otherwise ceases attending Saint Paul's
College on the day that forty percent of the semester has passed, then the
amount of withdrawal credit to be placed on the student's
account will be sixty percent (60%) of the tuition, general fee and room and
board (rent for Single Parent Program students) that was previously charged.
DELINQUENT ACCOUNT POLICY
The College will not issue an
exam permit, diploma, transcript, grades or
provide any services
to any student who has a delinquent account. A delinquent account
is defined as any account not paid in full by the last day of classes in any
semester. Past due accounts may be charged interest, attorney fees and
other reasonable collection costs. Students that may file bankruptcy
owing Saint Paul's
College for services provided will be denied the services listed above.
